Who can participate in the Summer Reading Challenge?
Everyone - newborns to adults!  

How long does the challenge run? 
Thursday, June 1, 2017 - Monday, July 31, 2017

How do I sign up?
Create a user account for yourself or your entire family. Access this site from home, your hand-held device, or stop by the library and our staff and volunteers will help you get started.  

Do I need a library card to participate?
No, but you should get one anyways - library cards are free!

How do I earn prizes?
It's simple!

  1. Read at least 60 minutes per week
  2. Log your minutes in your account
  3. Pick up your prize from the library you regularly visit (only one prize can be claimed per week)

What prizes can I earn?
Each program has prizes specific for that age group. Visit your local branch to see prize schedules and special weekly coupons!

When can I collect my prize?
Prize collection begins June 12 and ends August 4. You may collect your prize after reaching your weekly goal of 60 minutes. Weekly prizes change every Monday, be sure to come in at least once a week to get a chance to collect each prize.

What if my child does not know how to read yet?
If your child is too young to read by themselves you can read to them or with them! Sign yourself up and you can both earn prizes. 

What type of reading can I do? 
Any books, magazines, audiobooks, eBooks or eAudiobooks that are read (or listened to) between June 1 through July 31 count as a part of the challenge. 

Why should I participate? 
It is fun, free, and you can win prizes!
